Notice of CMD Office Closure

The CMD Office will be closed for construction on Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21st. We will reopen at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Our staff will be available by telephone at (803) 385-5123 to answer questions and assist customers with service and online payment concerns. Customers may continue to make payments by mail, through the night-deposit, online, and by telephone at (833) 209-4044. Applications for new service may be submitted BY CLICKING HERE. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Our non-payment fee and disconnection schedule will change as follows:

  • Cycle 19: Non-payment fees will be applied at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 17th.  Service disconnections will be rescheduled from Monday, May 20th to Thursday, May 23rd.
  • Cycle 24: (Including Lando/Richburg and Fort Lawn) Non-payment fees scheduled for Monday, May 20th will be now be applied at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22nd. Disconnections will be rescheduled from Tuesday, May 21st to Tuesday, May 28th.
  • Cycle 29: Non-payment fees will be applied at 5:00pm on Thursday, May 24th. Disconnections will be rescheduled from Tuesday, May 28th to Wednesday, May 29th.

CMD Office Renovations

To better serve our customers, the Chester Metropolitan District is upgrading its facilities. This process is expected to take 4-6 months.

Both our lobby and drive-through will remain open while the renovation is in progress. Customers may also continue to pay their bills online, by mail, or through automatic draft.

In the coming weeks, CMD will also be expanding its payment options to include an upgraded online payment system and a pay-by-phone option.
