Effective September 1, 2018
STANDARD WATER RATES
Beginning September 1, 2018, the Chester Metropolitan District is changing its rate structure. Earlier this year, we hired Raftelis, a financial consulting firm from Charlotte, North Carolina, to review our current rate structure and help us develop a more fair and equitable water rate for our customers.
As a result of this change, many of our residential customers may see a decrease in the water portion of their bill.
The most common meter size for residential water customers is 3/4″; however some residential customers may have a larger water meter. If you do not know your meter size, please contact our office for assistance.
All bills issued after September 1, 2018 will adhere to the following rate structure:
|Water Service Base Rate|
|(Based on Meter Size)|
Usage Charge — $7.19 per 1,000 gallons
