RICHBURG WATER TANK

750,000 gallon water tank

 

This is a 750,000 gallon elevated water tank located in Richburg, South Carolina.

The project has an estimated cost of about $1.8 million.

This is being funded by a  $330,000 Rural Infrastructure Grant from the Department of Commerce,  a $1.2 million EDA grant and $350,000 to be provided by Chester County.

This new tank will provide increased water pressure and volume flow in the Richburg area. It will also improve fire protection capability to the surrounding private homes and industry.

The tank should also provide a plus in the recruitment of new industry to this area of the County.


 

We are pleased to report that this project is NOW nearing completion.

The water tank and lines are completed and in service.

The 750,000 gallon elevated water tank is located on 2.25 Acres in Richburg, South Carolina on SC Highway 901.

This project includes 3,850 linear feet of 12 inch DIP water line, 3,600 linear feet of 16" DIP water line, an 800 gallons per minute duplex pump station, and 9 fire hydrants.

Richburg Water Tank Project Update As of December 10th

Construction is underway on the 750,000 gallon elevated water tank located on 2.25 Acres in Richburg, South Carolina on SC Highway 901.

This project will include 3,850 linear feet of 12 inch DIP water line, 3,600 linear feet of 16" DIP water line, an 800 gallons per minute duplex pump station, and 9 fire hydrants.

The contract was awarded to Phoenix Fabricators & Erectors, Inc of Cincinnati, Ohio as the low bidder.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in June 2003.
