Fine Bubble Diffuser Aeration System
This upgrade will enhance the efficiency and the quality of the digester system. It accomplishes this by a more uniform distribution of air throughout the digester. Air circulation enhances the ability of the microorganisms to breakdown the wastes being treated.
The same system is being installed at the Sandy River Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Waste water enters this unit through the center and is evenly distributed throughout the tank thus allowing the solid waste to settle to the bottom. The settled material is swept to the center where it is collected and then pumped to the digester for additional treatment and disposal.
Background: New Equalization Basin
This serves as a large catch basin to regulate the
amount of wastewater allowed to enter into our treatment facilities. Wastewater
enters this large tank and then is discharged into our treatment facilities at a
controlled rate.
